Vivo’s new Y6c 4G is now on sale in China for 899 yuan, or approximately $130. Rather than chasing premium design, the budget phone focuses on a 6,500 mAh battery, a 120Hz display, and a Unisoc chipset—features that matter in the sub-$150 segment.

Vivo Y6c 4G specifications

The phone uses a 12-nanometer, octa-core Unisoc T7225 processor with two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, clocked at up to 1.8GHz. Graphics are handled by a Mali-G57 GPU.

Its 6.74-inch LCD has a 1600×720-pixel resolution, a waterdrop notch, a 120Hz refresh rate, and brightness of up to 1,200 nits. Vivo also cites TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue-light emissions.

Samsung’s July 22 event points to three new foldables

  • 6500 mAh battery with 15W wired charging
  • 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera
  • IP65 protection and a five-star SGS impact-resistance rating
  • OriginOS 6, based on Android 16
  • Side-mounted fingerprint scanner and an IR port
  • Volume amplification of up to 150%

Vivo says the battery can retain its service life for up to five years under typical use. That emphasis on longevity is more practical than adding another decorative camera module to a low-cost phone.

Price and availability

The Vivo Y6c 4G is currently sold in China in a single configuration: 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Its main alternatives include Samsung’s Galaxy A06 and various Xiaomi and Redmi budget models, many of which also use large batteries and basic cameras.

Vivo has not announced availability outside China. If the phone remains a local release, its appeal will rest on the same priorities that define this price range: battery capacity, basic durability, and low cost.
