Huawei’s 600 kW chargers reach Volkswagen drivers
SAIC Volkswagen’s China app now maps Huawei’s 600 kW SuperCharge stations, giving drivers access to 701 urban and roadside sites.

SAIC Volkswagen has added Huawei SuperCharge stations to the charging-infrastructure map in its China app. Owners can now find Huawei’s ultra-fast terminals from the automaker’s interface and build a route to them with one tap.
The first phase covers 574 urban stations and 127 roadside locations. For Huawei, the integration extends access to its network beyond its own app. The company’s Huawei Supercharging Alliance, launched in 2024, includes passenger-car and commercial-vehicle manufacturers such as GAC Group, BAIC Heavy Truck, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle, and Shenzhen Automotive.
Huawei’s charging network now spans more than 200 cities, over 130 counties, and more than 50 highways. Its stations were also added to Gaode Maps starting in early 2026. The SAIC Volkswagen deal continues that push to reduce the steps between finding a charger and navigating to it.
Huawei SuperCharge specifications
Huawei’s liquid-cooled terminals are rated for up to 600 kW and support electric vehicles with architectures ranging from 200 to 1,000 V. Huawei claims a 99% successful charging-session rate.

For Volkswagen drivers in China, the partnership provides access to an established network without requiring Huawei’s separate app. For Huawei, it creates another distribution channel for its charging infrastructure. The next challenge is scaling both the network and the number of automaker integrations.
