Geely unveils 1,129-hp Galaxy Battleship 700
Geely’s Galaxy Battleship 700 packs 1,129 hp, plug-in hybrid power, satellite communications and advanced off-road systems.

Geely is preparing to unveil its largest and most powerful Galaxy SUV. The Galaxy Battleship 700 will premiere on July 24, with sales planned before the end of 2026. The company positions it for demanding routes, long-distance travel and off-road excursions rather than urban driving.
The vehicle is aimed at the same broad segment as the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and Tank 500, but its dimensions exceed both models. Its headline feature is a plug-in hybrid powertrain combining all-wheel drive with a claimed 830 kW, or approximately 1,129 horsepower. Geely also quotes 392 hp per ton, a figure that is substantially higher than those of the Land Cruiser 300 and Tank 500.

Geely is also loading the SUV with off-road electronics. Its GVMC system manages the all-wheel-drive system and electronic assistants, while the vehicle can switch drive modes automatically. Claimed capabilities include a crab-walk mode, near-spot turning and continuing to travel after a tire puncture.
Off-road assistance and launch plans
According to Geely, the Battleship 700 can complete a moose test at speeds of up to 80 km/h and independently steer around obstacles. If those specifications hold for the production vehicle, the SUV will combine expedition-focused hardware with the power output of an electric flagship—an unusual proposition among large frame-based SUVs.
