Apple’s Mac roadmap reportedly runs through 2028
Apple’s reported Mac roadmap includes M6 and M7 MacBook Pros, OLED MacBooks, updated desktops, and a MacBook Neo through 2028.

Apple’s Mac pipeline reportedly stretches from an M6 entry-level MacBook Pro arriving this year to an OLED MacBook Air that could appear as early as 2028. Bloomberg’s latest report outlines planned updates across the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, and MacBook Neo.
Macs reportedly coming by early 2027
Before the end of 2026, Apple is aiming to release:
- A new entry-level MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip
- New iMac models
- High-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with touchscreen OLED displays, powered by the M5 Pro and M5 Max
Bloomberg says the high-end MacBook models are “on track for release between the end of this year and early next year.” Apple is reportedly testing them with macOS 27.1, which will likely arrive at the end of October.
In early 2027, Apple plans to update the MacBook Air lineup. The company is also working on a redesigned entry-level MacBook Pro powered by the M7 chip, along with a new MacBook Neo. Apple is testing the Neo with an A19 Pro chip and reportedly plans to refresh it “periodically” with new colors.

Apple is also testing a Mac mini with M5 Pro and base M6 processors, as well as new Mac Studio models using the M5 Max and M5 Ultra. Bloomberg cautions that the timing of those machines, along with their planned chip and memory configurations, depends on the availability of memory chips.
OLED MacBook Air and iMac plans
Looking further ahead, Bloomberg reports that an OLED MacBook Air could arrive as early as 2028. An OLED iMac is also reportedly in development and would follow the OLED MacBook Air.
