Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo are reportedly targeting a September launch window for their next flagship phones, setting up a busy month for premium Android releases before Apple’s usual autumn spotlight. If the latest chatter is right, the Xiaomi 18 series, Vivo X500 family, and Oppo Find X10 lineup could all land around the same time as the iPhone 18 Pro series.
According to a well-known tipster, Xiaomi’s 18 series is already lined up for a September debut in China, while Vivo’s X500 family and Oppo’s Find X10 lineup are also pushing for the same window. That timing would give all three brands a chance to grab attention early, before Apple unveils its iPhone 18 Pro models and its first foldable device, which is being described as the iPhone Ultra.
Xiaomi 18 series could lead the September wave
Xiaomi’s move is the easiest to believe. The company launched the Xiaomi 17 series in September 2025, so a follow-up in the same month would fit its rhythm nicely. The expected lineup appears to include the Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, and it is tipped to be among the first phones to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.
That chip-first timing matters. In the premium segment, being early with a new Qualcomm platform can be as useful as a better camera or a shinier frame, because it gives a brand a clean marketing hook before everyone else starts repeating the same benchmark numbers.
Vivo X500 and Oppo Find X10 target the same launch window
Vivo’s X500 series is expected to focus on camera upgrades and bigger batteries, with the lineup possibly including the X500, X500 Pro or Pro Mini, and X500 Pro Max. Oppo’s Find X10 family is also said to be expanding across multiple models, including the X10, X10 Pro and X10 Pro Max, and both brands are expected to use MediaTek’s next-generation Dimensity 9600 chip.
That gives the September race a familiar shape: Xiaomi leaning on Qualcomm, Vivo and Oppo leaning on MediaTek, and all three trying to avoid letting Apple own the conversation. It is a classic preemption play, and a smart one if supply chains, certification, and manufacturing schedules cooperate.
Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro launch will still set the pace
Apple’s expected iPhone 18 Pro lineup remains the big shadow over all of this, especially with a foldable model also rumored for the same season. That means Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo are not just competing with one another; they are trying to force a decision before Apple resets the hype cycle.
- Xiaomi 18 series: Xiaomi 18, Xiaomi 18 Pro, Xiaomi 18 Pro Max
- Vivo X500 series: X500, X500 Pro or Pro Mini, X500 Pro Max
- Oppo Find X10 series: X10, X10 Pro, X10 Pro Max
- Chipsets: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 for Xiaomi, Dimensity 9600 for Vivo and Oppo
If this schedule holds, September could become one of the busiest flagship months of 2026. The real question is not whether these phones will arrive with serious hardware, but which brand can get its launch timing right before Apple turns the whole season into a one-company spectacle.
