Samsung has reportedly compiled the first One UI 8.5 test build for the Galaxy S25 before the end of July. An internal firmware version dated for August has surfaced for the smartphone’s Korean model, according to Tarun Vats of SamMobile.

The build carries the identifiers S938NKSSCCZH1/S938NOKRCCZH1, replacing the earlier BCZG3 release. The bootloader has also been updated, moving from version B to C. For such an early build, that change may indicate more than a routine internal draft: Samsung appears to be advancing the firmware toward another testing phase.

Samsung has often begun compiling new One UI branches well before their public release, particularly for Galaxy S flagships. That means the Galaxy S25's August update cycle could involve more than a standard bug-fix patch, although the report provides no details about new features or a public release date.
