MSI has shown off the Strike Alloy TMR keyboard at Computex 2026, alongside a matching Strike Nexus dock that snaps on magnetically and adds a 4.3-inch touchscreen. The pitch is a three-in-one setup: a fast gaming keyboard, a desktop control hub, and a portable SSD enclosure.

The Strike Alloy TMR keyboard uses magnetic TMR switches with adjustable actuation points and supports polling up to 8000 Hz. MSI has not announced pricing or availability yet.

Strike Alloy TMR specs and connectivity

The keyboard uses TMR sensors and supports polling up to 8000 Hz, along with adjustable actuation points. MSI says it can connect in wired mode, over 2.4 GHz, or via Bluetooth 5.3. The body is made from a magnesium-aluminum alloy, and the design is meant to work with both magnetic switches and standard mechanical switches.

  • TMR sensor-based switches
  • Polling rate up to 8000 Hz
  • Three connection modes: wired, 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.3
  • Magnesium-aluminum alloy chassis

Strike Nexus turns into a touchscreen control panel

Strike Nexus is the more unusual half of the pair. The magnetic add-on carries a 4.3-inch touchscreen that can launch apps, control RGB lighting, show system information, and even act as a numeric keypad. In other words, MSI is trying to replace a small pile of desk gadgets with one accessory that clips onto the keyboard and, at least in theory, stays out of the way.

On the back, the module includes an M.2 slot for SSDs with encryption support, unlocked after entering a PIN on the touchscreen. It connects over USB-C at 10 Gbit/s, which makes the SSD angle far more than a marketing flourish. This is the sort of multifunction hardware that could appeal to streamers and power users, while everyone else will probably keep using a regular keyboard and call it a day.

MSI has not announced pricing or release details

MSI has not said how much the Strike Alloy TMR and Strike Nexus will cost, or whether they will be sold separately or as a bundle. That leaves the biggest question unanswered: whether this is an ambitious new category, or just another premium accessory set that looks cooler on a show floor than it does in a shopping cart.
