The Witcher 4 remains without a confirmed release date-CD Projekt RED recently confirmed the game won’t launch before 2027-but the cosplay scene inspired by it is already thriving. Each month, new Ciri-inspired photo shoots emerge online, many so polished they could easily be mistaken for official promotional material.

Russian cosplayer Lada Lumos and photographer Kira Mitenkova recently unveiled a striking new series inspired by The Witcher 4. The shoot tells a mini-story of Ciri arriving at a grim village where she faces off against a leshy-a mythical forest monster. Fans of the game’s debut trailer, which featured the eerie village of Stromford and a ritual sacrifice, will recognize the clear nod.

Lada Lumos is no stranger to the Witcher universe-she even crafts her costumes herself, down to corsets and lingerie. Her personal favorite character to portray is Shani, a beloved figure from the Witcher franchise. Lumos and Mitenkova have collaborated for years, with their work catching the eye of CD Projekt RED on multiple occasions.

The latest photos are drenched in a dark, woodland atmosphere-fog, mud, mossy trees, and a looming monster shadowing the delicate figure clad in Witcher armor. The shoot was done entirely on location without 3D effects, amplifying the raw realism. For fans who appreciate a bit of eye candy, Lumos also included shots of Ciri in lingerie that fit seamlessly with the overall styling.

The Witcher 4 marks the first time Ciri takes on the full protagonist role. Unlike the original trilogy centered on Geralt, this game explores her as a fledgling Witcher forging her own path and code. Developed on Unreal Engine 5, the project employed 499 studio staff as of March 2026.

With The Witcher 4 not expected until at least 2027, fan creations like Lumos’s elaborate cosplay help keep excitement alive. Given her ongoing work with intricate costume design and thematic storytelling, her future projects could offer fresh glimpses into the game’s style ahead of the official launch. It will be worth watching how fan interpretations shape expectations for Ciri’s journey as the new face of the Witcher series.
