Huawei may bring a 10,000mAh phone to the midrange

A Chinese smartphone maker is reportedly developing a phone with a 10,000mAh battery, potentially making it one of the largest-capacity mainstream devices on the market. The model could be the Huawei Nova 16 SE, although its identity has not been confirmed.

According to insider Digital Chat Station, the phone will feature a 6.84-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 50-megapixel camera, and a “series 8” processor. The tipster described it as a potential “mid-range smartphone killer,” suggesting a strong balance between price and specifications.

Huawei is one possibility, but Digital Chat Station did not name the brand. Separately, Chinese tipster Fixed Focus Digital reported that Huawei is preparing the Nova 16 SE, which is expected to introduce the company’s first multispectral image sensor in the Nova line.

The Nova 16 SE is expected to cost between 2,000 and 3,000 yuan, or approximately $280–$420. Reported color options include black, white, blue, and orange.

It remains unclear whether the two reports describe the same device. One possibility is that the 10,000mAh phone will be the Huawei Nova 16 SE; another is that it could be a higher-end model in the Enjoy 90 series.
