Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked may redefine its foldables
Samsung’s July 22 Galaxy Unpacked may introduce redesigned Z Fold 8 phones, new Galaxy Watches, and a preview of its AI smart glasses.

Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event takes place July 22 at 9AM ET / 6AM PT, with an invite-only presentation in London. The company is expected to introduce several new devices, led by a major redesign of the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

Samsung has teased a “new shape” for its foldable lineup, which is expected to be a wider Galaxy Z Fold 8. Leaker Evan Blass has shared images of a device with a passport-like folded form factor that opens into an extended display.

Blass’s leak also points to a Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which would retain the Galaxy Z Fold 7's slim, tall design while adding a 5,000mAh battery rated for up to 27 hours of video playback.
The rumored Galaxy Z Flip 8 may feature a 4,300mAh battery and the same camera arrangement as its predecessor: a 10-megapixel front camera, plus 50-megapixel wide and 12-megapixel ultrawide rear lenses.
Galaxy Watch and smart glasses rumors
Samsung is also expected to announce new wearables, including the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Blass’s leak suggests it will be 12 percent thinner than the previous generation and feature a Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, an 800mAh battery, and a display reaching 5,000 nits of brightness.
The Galaxy Watch 9 is rumored to keep a familiar design while using the same Snapdragon Wear Elite chip.
Samsung could also share more details about its upcoming AI-powered smart glasses, which are expected to launch this fall with designs from Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. A demonstration at Unpacked remains possible.
