Elon Musk says Grok Imagine should generate a full-length film adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey by the end of 2026. He claims the production will be historically accurate and closely faithful to the original epic.
“By the end of this year, Grok Imagine will make a full-length film based on The Odyssey that will be historically accurate and faithful to Homer’s work.”

Musk was commenting on a three-minute scene demonstrating Grok Imagine’s ability to generate narrative sequences and dialogue.
The announcement comes shortly after a new Odyssey reached cinemas worldwide on July 16, 2026. Directed by Christopher Nolan, the large-scale mythological blockbuster is based on Homer’s ancient Greek poem about Ithaca’s King Odysseus returning home after the Trojan War.
That film faced criticism from some conservative viewers and Musk early in production after Lupita Nyong’o was cast as Helen of Troy.
