Galaxy Z Flip 8 leak points to minor upgrades
A new leak suggests Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 8 will look much like the Flip 7, with an Exynos 2600 chip, 45W charging, and a slightly lighter body.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 8 may be a very modest update. According to a new leak from WinFuture, reported by 9to5Google, the foldable’s shell design, display, cameras, and most of its specs are largely unchanged from the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Samsung is expected to unveil its new foldables on July 22 at a Galaxy Unpacked event in London. Mashable said it will be attending the event live.
The clearest upgrade in the leak is the processor. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is said to use Samsung’s Exynos 2600, replacing the Exynos 2500 in the current model. That should bring a performance bump, but the report notes that some buyers had been hoping for a more significant shift to a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip instead.

Other leaked changes appear limited:
- 45W wired charging support
- A body that is 8 grams lighter than its predecessor
- A design that is slightly thicker, according to the leak
That kind of year-over-year refresh may be enough for new buyers, but it is less compelling for existing Flip 7 owners waiting for a bigger jump. The report also points to speculation that Samsung could raise prices for the Galaxy Z8 series, which may make the restrained upgrade feel even less appealing.
None of these details are official yet. Samsung is expected to confirm the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and its full spec sheet at Galaxy Unpacked next week, alongside several other new mobile devices.
