Luxury brand Caviar has unveiled its Legends collection ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, turning two flagship phones into ultra-premium tributes to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Each version is limited to just 19 units worldwide.
For Caviar, that kind of tiny run is standard practice. The Dubai-based brand has spent years reworking iPhones and Galaxy devices with titanium, gold, carbon, and references to pop culture, politics, and sport. This time, it is leaning on two of football’s most recognizable names — and on a tournament many fans see as the last World Cup for both players.
The Messi Edition is based on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, a phone Samsung itself is expected to unveil on July 22. That means Caviar is effectively selling an early luxury preorder before the model’s broader debut. The rear panel features a portrait of Messi, his number 10, and Argentine symbols, with the design outlines and frame finished in 24-karat gold.
Caviar uses cloisonné enamel, a traditional jewelry technique in which colored glass is fired inside thin metal borders. Here, it recreates Argentina’s white and light blue colors and gives the phone a raised finish that looks more like a miniature artwork than a handset cover.

The Ronaldo Edition is built on the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. It uses the same technique but swaps in red and green to match Portugal. On the back: a portrait of Ronaldo, his number 7, and the Portuguese coat of arms on a geometric background, with 24K gold again used for the frame and decorative details.
Caviar Legends pricing and materials
- Messi Edition: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, from $13,130
- Ronaldo Edition: iPhone 17 Pro, from $11,410
- Materials: cloisonné enamel and 24-karat gold plating
- Edition size: 19 units of each version
- In the box: branded box, gold-plated key, and branded coin
Compared with standard flagship phones, the markup is steep. As the source notes, regular Samsung Ultra foldables and top-end iPhone Pro models typically cost about five to six times less. Buyers here are paying for rarity, hand-finished design, and the name on the back, not better hardware.
Caviar also mentioned a custom iPhone Ultra tied to Erling Haaland, which it says will ship after Apple’s autumn event. That suggests the company is building more than a one-off football release — something closer to its own luxury hall of fame, where big names and microscopic production runs do most of the selling.
