Samsung has struck a deal with Amazon to push Amazon Music across its devices. The app will be preinstalled on millions of selected Samsung smartphones and tablets worldwide and also distributed through the Galaxy Store.
For Samsung, the move adds another service to its device ecosystem. For Amazon, it opens a direct path to a huge base of Android users. Customers who download the app from Galaxy Store will get three months of Amazon Music Unlimited free.
The subscription includes a catalog of more than 100 million tracks, plus Ultra HD and Spatial Audio. In some countries, the offer will also include one Audible audiobook per month. After the trial ends, the service will cost $12.99 per month.

Samsung has not said which models will ship with Amazon Music out of the box, and there is still no full list of markets where the free trial will be available.
The scale of the deal stands out because of Samsung’s reach. According to IDC, the company remained the world’s largest smartphone vendor and shipped more than 220 million devices in 2024. For Amazon Music, that is a clear opportunity to strengthen its position in a market led by Spotify and Apple Music.
Samsung has already run a similar arrangement with Spotify on Galaxy devices, suggesting the company is no longer sticking to a single music partner.
