Vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G packs a 6500mAh battery

Vivo’s new budget 5G phone combines a 6500mAh battery, IP65 protection, MIL-STD-810H durability, and a 120Hz display.

Vivo has unveiled the Vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G, a budget smartphone focused on battery life and durability. Its headline feature is a 6500mAh battery that, according to the company, will retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1600 charging cycles. The phone also supports 44W fast charging, with 1% to 50% taking about 38 minutes.

The device features a 6.74-inch LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 1200 nits, though resolution is limited to HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels). Powering it is MediaTek’s 6nm Dimensity 6300 chip. Configurations include 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, plus microSD expansion of up to 2TB.

On cameras, Vivo includes a 50-megapixel main sensor paired with a secondary sensor, while the front camera is 5 megapixels. There is also a small RGB notification light on the back panel.

The Vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G is rated IP65 for dust protection and water jets, and Vivo says it meets MIL-STD-810H requirements for resistance to shocks and drops. Other hardware features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone ships with Android 16 and Origin OS 6.0, which adds AI-powered text and speech recognition features.
