SpaceX seeks talent for AI clusters beyond Earth
SpaceX is hiring engineers and skilled workers to build AI supercomputer clusters on Earth and potentially in orbit or on other planets.

SpaceX is recruiting engineers and skilled tradespeople to build and operate what it describes as its most powerful supercomputer clusters for AI, according to an announcement by Elon Musk on August 1, 2026.
The planned computing infrastructure could eventually be deployed “both on Earth and beyond it,” Musk said, including in orbit or on other planets. The company did not provide a timetable, hardware specifications, cluster size, or compensation details for the roles.
Applicants must send a résumé and three points explaining why they are exceptional candidates to datacenters@spacex.com. SpaceX is seeking both highly qualified engineers and workers in skilled trades, indicating that the effort covers construction and operation as well as system design.
The expanded computing capacity could support several SpaceX programs, including Starship missions, the Starlink satellite network, and future space-exploration projects. The company also links the effort to the possibility of building autonomous infrastructure outside Earth, although it has not specified where such systems would initially be located or how they would be powered.
