Poco M8 Power packs an 8,000mAh battery

Poco has revealed the first official details of the Poco M8 Power, ahead of its August 4 launch in India. The phone’s headline feature is an 8,000mAh battery, which the company says should deliver up to three days of use away from a charger.

The handset will be sold through Flipkart. Official teasers show an orange finish, while Poco has also confirmed an AMOLED display without disclosing its size, resolution or refresh rate. The rear camera module includes a 50MP main camera alongside an LED flash.

Leaks suggest the Poco M8 Power could be a rebranded Redmi Note 17. Poco has repeatedly released near-identical devices under different names in different markets, allowing it to fill out regional product lines more quickly.

Batteries of 7,000mAh or larger are already appearing in this segment, making endurance a major selling point in the midrange market. If the Redmi Note 17 connection is confirmed, it should clarify both the M8 Power’s positioning and how much it differs from the original model.
