Meta tests StoryKit, an AI app for children’s stories
Meta is testing StoryKit, an iPhone app that creates personalized children’s stories with illustrations, narration, music, and printable PDFs.

Meta has quietly released StoryKit: personalized stories, an experimental iPhone app that uses AI to create children’s stories with illustrations, narration, and original music. It is currently available through the App Store in Mexico, but not in the U.S., suggesting a regional test before any broader launch.
StoryKit builds a story from three choices: users create or photograph a character, select a setting such as an enchanted forest or distant galaxy, and choose a lesson centered on values including kindness, courage, or empathy. The result can be delivered as:
- Picture Book: Illustrated pages with narration and a musical score
- Audiobook: Hands-free listening for the car, bath time, or bedtime
- Read aloud: Full text for parents to tell the story themselves
- Printable PDF: A physical version children can write on and share
The app extends Meta’s AI push beyond a conventional chatbot. Earlier this year, the company replaced its Llama models with Muse Spark, the first model from Meta Superintelligence Labs. Muse Spark-powered features have since appeared in Meta AI, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Threads.
