Lenovo’s first Googlebook devices leak
Leaked images show Lenovo preparing two Googlebook laptops and a 2-in-1 tablet with Google’s Glowbar hardware feature.

Lenovo appears to be preparing the first hardware for Google’s new Googlebook initiative, with leaked images showing three devices: two laptops and a convertible tablet.
The images, shared by Android Headlines, show keyboards carrying Googlebook branding. Two devices resemble Lenovo’s Chromebook Plus 14, apparently in different sizes. The third is a 2-in-1 tablet with a kickstand and detachable keyboard, styled like Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro Gen 2.

All three devices are stark white and include a light strip that appears to be Google’s Glowbar. Google has described the feature as a way to distinguish Googlebooks from other laptops, although it has not fully explained how the hardware will work. The images also suggest that the number of USB-C and USB-A ports differs between models.
The leak is the first indication that Googlebooks may extend beyond traditional laptops. Google’s May announcement focused on an unknown laptop running its new Android-based take on ChromeOS, while the leaked Lenovo lineup includes a tablet-style convertible. Both ChromeOS and Android already run on tablets, but Google had not previously shown that the new platform would support them as Googlebooks.
Android-based software and launch timing
Google has demonstrated Googlebook features built around mouse and voice input. One example is Magic Pointer, which lets users wiggle a mouse to trigger quick, contextual prompts for Gemini.

The company has not announced an official launch date, saying only that Googlebooks will arrive later this year. Because the initiative is centered on third-party laptop manufacturers, the devices will likely launch separately from Google’s phones, although Google has not confirmed a schedule.
Google named Lenovo, ASUS, Dell and HP as hardware launch partners. Lenovo’s leaked products offer the first concrete look at what that partner hardware could be, but the images do not establish final specifications, pricing or release dates.
