Intel’s Nova Lake may bring powerful iGPU to desktops
Intel’s rumored Nova Lake desktop chips could combine 16 cores, a 65 W TDP, and Xe3P integrated graphics near Arc B390 levels.

Intel may be preparing Nova Lake desktop processors with a 65 W TDP, 16 cores, and an unusually capable integrated GPU. According to insider Jaykihn, these chips could bring desktop integrated graphics much closer to Intel’s top mobile offerings.
Nova Lake iGPU could reach Arc B390 levels
The leak describes a graphics block approaching the performance level of Arc B390, with 12 Xe cores. The key difference is the architecture: Nova Lake would reportedly use Xe3P, rather than the Xe3 architecture cited for the mobile part.
That would make the iGPU one of the defining features of the processor, not merely a basic display output. Integrated graphics rarely take center stage in desktop CPUs, but this design could change the balance between CPU and GPU performance in mainstream systems.

Intel’s apparent direction would target computers that need to handle more than office applications and web browsing while still operating without a separate graphics card. The source links that strategy to demand for gaming-capable systems based on integrated graphics and to AMD’s APU segment, where powerful iGPUs have long been a major selling point.
A stronger iGPU could make Nova Lake relevant to compact PCs, home media centers, and budget-oriented builds where a discrete graphics card is unnecessary. The 65 W TDP would also fit the power constraints of systems designed to remain relatively efficient.
The leak does not provide several critical details:
- GPU frequencies
- The final graphics configuration
- The processors' final model names
As a result, the information currently indicates Intel’s direction rather than a confirmed product specification. If the reported parameters are accurate, Nova Lake could be considerably more attractive for inexpensive, power-efficient desktop systems than Intel’s current mass-market desktop lines.
