Leaked Galaxy Z Flip 8 images and specs suggest Samsung is keeping the Z Flip 7 design, adding an Exynos 2600 chip and 45W charging.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 8 appears set to be a very familiar update. According to leaked images and specs shared by WinFuture and highlighted by 9to5Google, Samsung’s next flip phone looks nearly identical to the current Galaxy Z Flip 7 just a week before the company’s launch event.

The biggest reported hardware change is the processor. Rather than moving to a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, Samsung is said to be using its own Exynos 2600, the successor to the Exynos 2500 in the Z Flip 7. The other notable upgrade in the leak is support for 45W wired charging.

Everything else sounds largely unchanged. WinFuture says the phone will keep the same displays as its predecessor:

  • 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED inner display
  • 4.1-inch Super AMOLED outer display
  • 256GB base storage
  • 12GB RAM

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the rest of its new foldables at a Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22nd. Earlier this week, Samsung also teased its upcoming phones in a Spider-Man: Brand New Day promo, which included a flip phone that looked indistinguishable from the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and matched the design shown in the leaked images.

The overall design may not be changing, but the leak points to at least one fresh finish: a pale pink option, alongside “cream” white and “graphite” black.
