Galaxy S26 FE and Tab S12 leak ahead of launch

Samsung’s Galaxy S26 FE and Galaxy Tab S12 have appeared in a Google device list before either product has been announced. The list is tied to devices eligible for free trial access to Google’s paid AI service, a source of leaks that has previously revealed products ahead of their official launches.

The listing surfaced during the week Samsung is preparing its Unpacked event for new foldable smartphones. According to Android Authority, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 appear in the same list alongside the S26 FE and Tab S12. Samsung therefore appears to be preparing several product lines for the autumn, rather than relying on a single major launch.

Leaked specifications for the Galaxy Tab S12 and S26 FE

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to retain the series' familiar design, including a V-shaped cutout for the front camera. Its reported dimensions are 326.34 × 208.46 × 5.12 mm, suggesting Samsung may focus on internal upgrades rather than a major chassis redesign.

Leaked configurations reportedly include:

• MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset
• 12GB or 16GB of RAM
• 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage
• One UI 9.0

That extended software-support promise would put Samsung’s emphasis on longevity alongside the hardware, as it competes with the iPad Pro and high-end Android tablets.

The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to feature a flat frame, a raised camera module, and Samsung’s Exynos 2500 platform with a 1+2+5+2 core arrangement. Industry sources also claim Samsung may use a BOE display for the first time in an FE model, rather than relying exclusively on its own panels. If confirmed, that would broaden the supplier base for the series.

A September launch would fit Samsung’s usual timing. Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Honor typically release updated tablets and near-flagship smartphones in the autumn, leaving Samsung a relatively narrow window to announce the FE phone and new Tab lineup before the main sales season begins.
