Framework Desktop gets 192GB of RAM for local AI
Framework’s new Desktop configuration pairs AMD’s 16-core Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 with 192GB of LPDDR5x RAM for local AI workloads.

Framework has announced a new configuration of its modular Framework Desktop, featuring what the company describes as the first computer built around AMD’s 16-core Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 and 192GB of memory. The system targets local AI model users, developers, and content creators.
The Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 reaches 5.2GHz. Graphics are handled by the integrated Radeon 8065S, which includes 40 RDNA 3.5 compute units and runs at up to 3GHz.
Framework says the chip offers AMD’s most powerful integrated graphics solution to date. It should be capable of running modern games at Full HD resolution without a discrete graphics card.
The main change is the system’s 192GB of LPDDR5x RAM. That capacity is intended to support large language models locally, without relying on cloud services. Framework says the computer will be able to run DeepSeek-V4-Flash in its Q8 configuration, for example.

Pricing and availability
The new configuration will cost considerably more than the existing Framework Desktop with 128GB of RAM. The current model, powered by the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, costs $3,449. When an equivalent model was announced in February 2025, its price was $1,999.
Framework attributes the increase to the substantial rise in memory prices. The company has not yet disclosed the official price for the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 model with 192GB of RAM, but it is expected to exceed $4,000. A sales date has not been announced.
