Apple’s Car Keys feature may soon arrive in vehicles from GWM’s Tank brand, according to backend code spotted by MacRumors. The feature lets drivers use an iPhone or Apple Watch to lock, unlock, and start a compatible vehicle.

Several GWM models already support Apple CarPlay, including the Tank 300, Tank 400, Tank 500, and Tank 700. GWM also sells vehicles under the Haval, Ora, Wey, and Poer brands, but none currently support Car Keys.

The report follows similar backend findings indicating that Car Keys could come to Volkswagen vehicles. Apple has continued adding automakers after recent launches from Toyota and Rivian.

In 2025, Apple said 13 additional vehicle brands would adopt Car Keys. The list included GWM-owned Wey, along with Acura, Cadillac, Chery, Chevrolet, GMC, Hongqi, Lucid, Porsche, Rivian, Smart, Tata Motors, and Voyah.
