Poco F9 Pro and Ultra reportedly pack 10,000 mAh batteries

Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra have appeared in the GSMA database, suggesting that Poco’s international launch may be approaching. According to XimiTime, MI Code listings point to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, identified by the SM8850 model number.

The most striking claims concern battery capacity. The Poco F9 Ultra is reportedly being prepared with a 10,000 mAh battery, while the F9 Pro could feature an 8,000 mAh cell. Those figures are well above the roughly 5,000–5,500 mAh capacity common among flagship smartphones and exceed the 6,500–7,000 mAh batteries increasingly used by phones focused on endurance.

Both models are also expected to use 200-megapixel cameras. The sensor is no longer unusual in the premium segment, but Poco typically combines high-resolution hardware with pricing below direct competitors. The F9 series could therefore focus less on luxury camera-phone positioning and more on a specification package that is easy to compare at retail.

GSMA certification does not guarantee an immediate release, but it narrows the expected launch window. The phones are expected to debut internationally in the second half of 2026.

Chinese manufacturers have accelerated the battery-capacity race during 2025 and 2026, while 200-megapixel sensors have become a familiar feature in higher-priced models from Samsung, Xiaomi, and Honor. Poco’s reported combination of endurance, charging speed, and Snapdragon performance would put the F9 series directly into that competition—especially if the company retains the claimed 8,000 mAh and 10,000 mAh capacities.
