Pixel Watch 5 may add RAM without changing its chip
Pixel Watch 5 may keep the Qualcomm SW5100 but add 3GB of RAM for Gemini Intelligence features, according to a leak.

The most significant change to Google’s Pixel Watch 5 may be hidden under its familiar design. According to 9to5Google, the smartwatch will retain the same platform but increase its RAM from 2GB to 3GB, apparently to support more demanding Gemini Intelligence features.
The device has appeared in the Google Play Console under the codename godric. The leak says Google will again use Qualcomm’s SW5100 platform, retaining its four ARM Cortex-A53 cores and Adreno 702 graphics.
The reported specifications are:
- Chip: Qualcomm SW5100
- Processor: Four ARM Cortex-A53 cores
- Graphics: Qualcomm Adreno 702
- RAM: 3GB
- Codename: godric
- New watch face: Gemini Neural Expressive
Increasing memory while leaving the processor unchanged is a familiar approach in smartwatches. It can preserve battery behavior and compatibility with Wear OS, while giving software more room to run heavier features. Most Wear OS watches still have 2GB of RAM, making the reported upgrade notable for the category.
9to5Google also showed the watch with a new analog face styled after Gemini Neural Expressive. If the leak is accurate, Google is focusing this generation less on a redesigned case and more on additional memory and software capabilities for AI features on the wrist.
