Google’s latest Pixel 11 teaser has revealed an unusual new detail: a glowing, color-shifting orb embedded on one side of the phone’s camera bar.
The detail appears in a short video on Google’s store page for the upcoming phone lineup, according to 9to5Google. Google hasn’t explained what the orb does, and the teaser itself offers no extra information beyond the visual reveal.
One possible clue is “Pixel Glow,” a light feature that has surfaced in Android 17 betas. The Verge notes that the new orb could be tied to that feature, though that has not been confirmed. It may also connect to Google’s Gemini features, but that remains speculation for now.
Google is expected to share more soon. The company has already announced an August 12th event for new Pixel hardware, and an earlier teaser for that launch also showed the Pixel 11, though without the glowing orb.

The new visual arrives as rumors suggest the Pixel lineup could become more expensive. At the same time, early signs point to the Pixel 11 colors being a standout this year.
