Oppo A7 Pro Max filmed near 2,000°C rocket exhaust
Oppo’s A7 Pro Max faces a 2,000°C rocket-exhaust test, with a 10,000mAh battery and August 4 launch confirmed.

Oppo is positioning the A7 Pro Max as a durability-focused smartphone ahead of its official debut on August 4. The company has begun promoting the device as a “next-generation legend” with increased resistance to heat, impacts, and other harsh conditions.
Rocket-exhaust durability test
In a published video, Oppo showed the launch of the Gravity-1 Y4 rocket and said the smartphone was exposed to an exhaust plume reaching approximately 2,000°C. The company has not yet established publicly whether the handset fully survived that exposure.
Oppo is expected to disclose the A7 Pro Max’s durability specifications at the August 4 launch, including details about its resistance to high temperatures and impacts. The available footage demonstrates the setting of the test, but does not provide independent verification of the phone’s performance.
10,000mAh battery and core specifications
The phone’s most notable hardware feature is its 10,000mAh battery, a first for Oppo smartphones. Oppo says the battery is designed to operate for seven years, retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,500 charging cycles, and function in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 55°C.

The A7 Pro Max will also support 80W charging and use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor. Its display specifications include a 6.78-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution. Other listed features are NFC, AI-powered fraud protection, and an infrared port.
Oppo is also emphasizing imaging. The company describes the A7 Pro Max as having the best camera in the history of its A series, but has not yet provided the camera specifications or supporting test results. Those details, along with the phone’s confirmed thermal and impact resistance, are due at the August 4 announcement.
