Nothing is preparing to cut its workforce and reorganize its business, with more than 100 of the company’s roughly 800 employees potentially affected, according to CityAM. About 25 roles could disappear from the company’s UK marketing division. The final number has not been decided, as consultations are still underway.

Founded by former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, Nothing is also planning to create separate business units, including one dedicated entirely to artificial intelligence technologies. The company intends to consolidate operations in individual countries into regional hubs to improve efficiency.

Nothing has denied reports that it plans to leave 12 international markets. Co-founder Akis Evangelidis called those reports false and said sales of the new Nothing Phone (4b) were record-breaking for its price segment. He said the company sold 29,537 devices on the first day alone.

The restructuring comes as Nothing continues expanding its retail presence. Its products recently arrived at Best Buy stores in the United States, while the company opened a branded store in Bengaluru, India. Nothing has also expanded its lineup with new smartphones and wireless earbuds.
