Honor has launched its MagicBook X Plus 2026 series in China, introducing two slim and lightweight laptops designed to compete with the Apple MacBook Air in form factor and portability. The new MagicBook X Plus laptops feature Intel’s 13th-generation Panther Lake platform with the Core Ultra 5 325 processor, delivering solid performance for everyday computing needs.
The smaller MagicBook X14 Plus weighs around 1.29 kg and measures just under 15 mm thick. It sports a 14-inch display with a sharp 2880×1800 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and brightness up to 430 nits.
The MagicBook X16 Plus offers a larger 16-inch screen at 2560×1600 resolution, with the same brightness and refresh rate. It is slightly bulkier at 1.64 kg and 16 mm thick. Both displays cover 100% of the sRGB color gamut.

Despite the size difference, both laptops are equipped with an 80Wh battery that promises up to 14 hours of use on a single charge. They also support reversible 65W fast charging.
Honor has designed these MagicBook X Plus models to meet IPX2 water resistance and MIL-STD 810H military-grade durability standards. Their cooling systems support up to 50W thermal output to maintain performance under load.
Both models come with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD. Pricing starts at 5999 yuan (approximately $879) for the MagicBook X14 Plus and 6199 yuan (around $908) for the MagicBook X16 Plus. Honor plans to expand availability beyond China soon.
With the MagicBook X Plus 2026 series, Honor targets buyers seeking a sleek Windows alternative to the MacBook Air. The combination of high-resolution displays, ample memory and storage, and strong battery life positions these laptops as solid contenders in the ultrabook segment. Their performance and reception in global markets against established competitors remain to be seen.
