Samsung’s next foldables have leaked in detail just days before their expected July 22 debut, with WinFuture outlining nearly the full spec sheets for both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.

The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 is said to feature a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch main foldable screen, both at 120Hz. The inner Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel is reportedly 2,448 x 1,848, while the outer screen is listed at 1,972 x 1,248. According to the report, some content will show black borders, including 21:9, 16:9, and 1:1 formats.

A new titanium display substrate is said to help stabilize the folding panel and reduce creasing, apparently tied to Samsung’s recently announced Flex Titanium tech. The Fold 8 is reportedly 4.5mm thick when unfolded, excluding the camera bump, with dimensions of 161.4 x 123.9mm, a weight of 201g, and IP48 protection.

Inside, the phone is tipped to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 “for Galaxy”, clocked up to 4.47GHz, paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM or 16GB on the top storage tier. Storage options are said to be 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with support for Wi-Fi 7, NFC, 5G, and Bluetooth 6.0. Camera specs reportedly include a 50MP f/1.8 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP f/1.9 ultrawide, and two 10MP f/2.2 selfie cameras. The battery is listed at 4,800mAh with 45W charging, but EPREL database entries suggest a rating of just 1,200 charging cycles. Colors are said to include Graphite, Cream, Lavender, and online-exclusive Pistachio. Pricing in Germany is reportedly set to start at €1,999, while earlier leaks put the US starting price at $1,899.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra specifications and pricing

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, described by the source as a rebranded successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, is said to step up to a 6.5-inch outer display at 2,520 x 1,080 and a new 8-inch inner Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel at 2,504 x 2,256 with a roughly 3:2 aspect ratio. Both are reportedly 120Hz, and the titanium substrate is said to return here as well.

Samsung has allegedly reduced the unfolded thickness to 4.1mm, again excluding the camera, though weight is said to rise slightly to 218g. The rear camera system is tipped to include a 200MP f/1.7 main camera with OIS, a 10MP f/2.4 3x telephoto, and a 50MP f/1.9 ultrawide, replacing the previous 12MP f/2.4 ultrawide. Two 10MP f/2.2 selfie cameras are also expected.

The Ultra is also said to run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 “for Galaxy” at up to 4.47GHz, with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB storage, or 16GB RAM with 1TB storage. Its battery is reportedly larger at 5,000mAh with 45W charging, though it too is said to be rated for 1,200 cycles. Expected colors include Graphite, Cream, Violet Shadow, and online-exclusive Green Shadow. German pricing is said to start at €2,199, while separate leaks have placed US pricing at $2,099.
