Fora has raised a $60 million Series D, hitting a $1 billion valuation as the travel agency startup pushes further into AI tools and new booking categories.
The round was led by Forerunner and Tactile Ventures, with Insight Partners and Thrive Capital also participating. Founded in 2021, Fora said it has now raised $138.5 million to date.
Fora operates a two-sided travel platform. On one side, it gives people the infrastructure to become travel agents, including tools for client communication and trip planning. On the other, it helps travelers find and connect with advisors for trips such as honeymoons and family travel to destinations including Costa Rica and Thailand.

Part of the new funding will go toward expanding Via, Fora’s AI assistant. The tool is designed to handle administrative work for agents on the platform, including research and itinerary building. The company’s pitch is that AI should boost the productivity of human agents, not replace them, by freeing them up to spend more time on client relationships.
Fora said that since launch, agents on its platform have booked more than $3 billion in travel. According to the company, most of those agents were new to travel advising when they joined. Fora also plans to use the fresh capital to hire and expand into additional travel categories, including cruises and flights.
