Edifier puts three hybrid drivers in $28 gaming earphones
Edifier’s $28 Hecate Dual Engine Pro gaming earphones use three hybrid drivers, a 3.5mm cable, and FPS-focused tuning.

Edifier is targeting China’s budget gaming market with the Hecate Dual Engine Pro, a wired pair of in-ear earphones priced at 187.5 yuan, or about $28. The model is already listed on JD.com and combines three drivers per earpiece with tuning aimed at competitive first-person shooters.
Three-driver acoustic design
Each earpiece contains two 6mm dynamic drivers and one separate balanced-armature driver. A physical crossover divides the low, mid and high frequencies, with the stated goal of making footsteps, reloads and other positional cues easier to hear during matches.
Edifier also uses a two-chamber acoustic design to control the internal sound path and improve source positioning. The earphones carry Hi-Res Audio certification, while Edifier says the sound profile was tuned specifically for competitive FPS games.
The fit-focused design includes flexible ear hooks, angled housings, and three pairs of silicone eartips. The 1.3-meter cable is made from oxygen-free copper, reinforced with 400D ballistic fiber, and covered in a TPE sheath. It ends in an L-shaped 3.5mm connector.
An in-line control provides volume, playback and call functions. The cable also includes a noise-cancelling microphone for voice chat, a practical addition for mobile and PC setups where wired reliability matters more than lighting.

Price and availability
The Hecate Dual Engine Pro is currently sold in China for 187.5 yuan, equivalent to roughly $28 at the current exchange rate. Edifier has not announced a global release or provided an international launch date.
The wired connection avoids battery charging and is positioned as a way to maintain stable latency for gaming. That differentiates the earphones from recent products such as Ozlo Sleepbuds 2, which offer up to 14 hours of battery life, and Machenike TH66, which features ANC, 40ms latency, and up to 7 hours of operation.
Edifier’s offer instead centers on its three-driver hybrid configuration and wired design at a price below $30.
