Apple’s September iPhone event is about one month away, and rumors point to a smaller flagship lineup than usual. The company is expected to introduce five core products: three iPhones and two Apple Watch models.
Three iPhones rumored for September
The rumored lineup would exclude the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 from the September event. Both are reportedly delayed until early 2027, leaving the following models for next month:
- iPhone 18 Pro: Major camera upgrades, new colors, a reduced Dynamic Island and additional changes.
- iPhone 18 Pro Max: The Pro features plus significant battery improvements.
- iPhone Ultra: An entirely new form factor and Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
The reduced lineup could also make this year’s flagship range the most expensive yet. Analysts predict a starting price of approximately $1,399 for the iPhone 18 Pro and $1,999 for the iPhone Ultra. Apple has not confirmed either price.
Apple Watch Ultra 4 and Series 12
Apple typically updates the Apple Watch in September, and two new models are expected this year:

- Apple Watch Ultra 4: New health sensors, design updates and other changes.
- Apple Watch Series 12: A more powerful SiP and new health features.
Few details have leaked about either watch. The limited information leaves open whether the updates are relatively modest or whether Apple is withholding additional features for the event. Apple has not announced specifications or pricing.
AirPods and Apple Home products remain possible
The iPhone and Apple Watch launches are considered the most likely September announcements, but Apple could also introduce new audio and smart-home hardware. Rumored candidates include:
- AirPods Pro with cameras, which could support AI features and health or accessibility functions.
- Apple TV 4K with a more powerful chip for Apple Intelligence and Siri AI.
- HomePad or HomePod Touch, a Siri-focused HomePod with a screen.
- HomePod mini 2 with Siri AI, a new chip and audio improvements.
- HomePod 3 with Siri AI and a new chip, but minimal other changes.
- Apple Security Camera with support for HomeKit Secure Video.
Other fall products—including an OLED iPad mini and new MacBook Pro and MacBook Ultra models—are generally expected in October, rather than at the September event. Apple has not provided a release schedule for any of these rumored products.
9to5Mac also lists accessories including AirPods Pro 3, currently priced at $199, down from $249; a MagSafe car mount for iPhone; a 10-year AirTag battery case; a 100W USB-C fast-charging power adapter; and AirTag 2 in one-pack and four-pack versions.
