Apple Opens Settlement Talks With DOJ
Apple and the DOJ have begun early settlement talks over the iPhone maker’s 2024 antitrust lawsuit, with no guarantee of an agreement.

Apple has made several settlement proposals to the U.S. Department of Justice and entered early talks to resolve the antitrust lawsuit filed against it in 2024, Bloomberg reports. There is no guarantee the negotiations will produce an agreement.
The DOJ accused Apple of using years of anticompetitive practices to get customers “hooked” on its platform. The case focuses on several restrictions, including:
