Xiaomi has added 10 more devices to its end-of-life (EOL) list, ending official software support for a mix of phones and tablets released mainly in 2022 and 2023. That means no more HyperOS updates, bug fixes, or security patches for the affected models.
The newly listed devices are:
- Xiaomi 12
- Xiaomi 12 Pro
- Xiaomi 12S Ultra
- Xiaomi Pad 6
- Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro
- Poco X5 5G
- Poco X5 Pro 5G
- Redmi Note 12T Pro
- Redmi K60E
- Redmi 10 5G
There is an important regional caveat. Xiaomi has not dropped support for every version of every device at once. For some models, the change applies only in specific markets. The Xiaomi 12 series, for example, now appears on the EOL list for Chinese, Indonesian, and Russian variants rather than all international versions.
The timing broadly matches each device’s age. Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro launched in 2022, while devices such as the Poco X5 and Redmi Note 12T Pro arrived in 2023. The hardware will keep working, but unsupported devices will gradually become riskier to use as newly discovered vulnerabilities go unpatched.

The move also highlights how update expectations have shifted across Android. Google promises up to 7 years of Android updates and security patches for the Pixel 8, and Samsung now offers the same 7-year window on recent flagship Galaxy phones. Xiaomi expanded support for newer devices in 2025, but those longer timelines did not apply retroactively to older models.
This is not Xiaomi’s first EOL batch of the year. The company has been steadily retiring devices from the MIUI era and the earliest HyperOS releases while putting longer support behind newer lineups.
