Amazon India has posted a OnePlus N6x teaser page just weeks after the N6 launch, hinting at a cheaper model likely aimed below 20,000 rupees.

OnePlus is already teasing the N6x in India, only a couple of weeks after launching the OnePlus N6. A listing on Amazon India shows the phone as “Coming Soon,” signaling that the company is moving quickly in its most affordable lineup.

The clearest reference point for the new device is the OnePlus N6, unveiled on June 30. Its base 4GB/128GB version costs about 22,999 rupees and includes a straightforward budget package focused on battery life and everyday use:

  • 8,000mAh battery
  • 45W charging
  • 6.75-inch LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate
  • MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chip
  • 50MP main camera

The N6 skips extras such as an ultrawide camera, instead putting its weight behind endurance and practical specs.

So far, Amazon has not revealed the N6x design, specifications, or launch date. According to leaker Yogesh Brar, the handset will have “familiar” specs. That suggests OnePlus could either trim back the N6 slightly or reuse an existing OPPO or realme platform to hit a lower price point faster.

If the N6x does sit below the N6, the cuts will likely be targeted rather than dramatic. The company could scale back the chip, keep the same HD display, or reduce the battery somewhat, while retaining a 50MP main camera and the device’s general everyday appeal.

That strategy fits the Indian market, especially below 25,000 rupees, where buyers tend to prioritize a large battery, a smooth screen, and reliable performance over branding. This is also where OnePlus faces tight competition from Xiaomi, realme, Poco, and Samsung.

At the lower end, the pressure is even stronger. Counterpoint says 5G now makes up most smartphone shipments in India, but demand for very affordable phones remains strong, especially as memory and other component prices rise. Against that backdrop, talk of another OnePlus phone with 4G and pricing below 16,000 rupees looks plausible. And because dedicated Amazon pages typically appear shortly before an announcement, the wait for official details may not be long.
