The Vivo X300 FE is shaping up to be a very un-FE kind of phone. Early images suggest the Vivo X300 FE will support Vivo’s external Zeiss G2 teleconverter, a feature usually reserved for pricier models, while the rest of the leak points to flagship-grade hardware rather than the usual budget-friendly compromise.
That matters because ”Fan Edition” branding normally signals a trimmed-down version of a bigger phone, not a device that borrows premium camera accessories. Vivo seems to be leaning the other way here, and that could make the X300 FE stand out in a crowded mid-premium field where most rivals are busy removing features, not adding them back.
Zeiss G2 attachment and India-only green finish
The leaked hands-on shots show the phone with a dedicated case and clip-on lens that locks onto the rear camera module. The green version is said to be exclusive to India, with Purple and Black also expected to join the lineup.
Accessory support like this is a neat trick for Vivo: it gives the phone a more expensive identity without changing the basic silhouette. It also helps the company keep camera marketing alive in a segment where most brands rely on a bigger sensor and a louder press release.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 6.31-inch display and 6,500mAh battery
Under the hood, the X300 FE is tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which would make it the first Vivo FE model to get a Qualcomm flagship chip. The rest of the rumored spec sheet is equally serious: a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, plus OriginOS 6 at launch.
- 50MP main camera
- 8MP ultra-wide camera
- 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom
- 6,500mAh battery
- 90W fast charging
The camera hardware is not outrageous, but it is balanced in a way that should appeal to buyers who care more about usable zoom than spec-sheet theater. And with a 6,500mAh battery plus 90W charging, Vivo is clearly trying to make the FE label feel less like a discount and more like a shortcut to the good stuff.
Vivo X300 FE India launch date
Vivo has already locked in the India announcement for May 7, and the X300 FE will arrive alongside the X300 Ultra. Sales are expected to begin on May 14, which gives Vivo a narrow window to turn leaks into hype before the usual launch-day noise takes over.
If the pricing lands in the right place, the X300 FE could be one of the more interesting ”value” flagships of the season. The bigger question is whether Vivo can keep the final price from drifting into the territory where ”Fan Edition” starts sounding like a joke.
