Samsung is speeding up the rollout of its next One UI update, with the internal beta of One UI 9 based on Android 17 already testing on 17 devices-16 smartphones and one tablet. This comes just two months after the final release of One UI 8.5.

This developer-level internal beta is not a public release for everyone. However, there’s also an open beta available for the Galaxy S26 series, which has already received three test builds. So far, One UI 9 is reaching a wider range of Samsung devices than the internal beta list alone suggests.

  • Galaxy A26
  • Galaxy A36
  • Galaxy A37
  • Galaxy Z Flip7
  • Galaxy Z Flip7 FE
  • Galaxy Z Fold6
  • Galaxy Z Flip6
  • Galaxy Z Fold5
  • Galaxy Z Flip5
  • Galaxy S23 FE
  • Galaxy A15 4G
  • Galaxy M34
  • Galaxy M15
  • Galaxy M35
  • Galaxy M56
  • Galaxy F34
  • Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro

The list shows Samsung isn’t just testing One UI 9 on flagship and foldable devices. The update is also rolling out to mass-market A, M, and F series models. This signals a deliberate pace from Samsung, as users increasingly consider software updates as essential as hardware specs. By the number of supported devices, Samsung remains one of the most active Android OEMs in rolling out updates, a pace rivaled mostly by Google’s Pixel lineup.

Samsung hasn’t announced an official release date for the final One UI 9 update yet. The full reveal is expected on July 22 in London during the launch event for the new foldable flagships. If the current cadence holds, we can expect a wider public beta to open soon after, with a stable release likely arriving in late summer or early fall. This timeline coincides with the typical schedule for Android 17’s rollout on initial devices.
