Samsung has launched two new home speakers in India: the Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7. Both combine wireless connectivity, spatial audio and a design intended to look more like furniture than a generic box.

Music Studio 5 and 7 specifications

Both models support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 6.0 and Dolby Atmos. They also work with AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Roon Ready, allowing them to function as general-purpose streaming speakers rather than devices limited to Samsung’s ecosystem.

The Music Studio 7 is the larger model, using a 3.1.1-channel layout with front, center and upward-firing drivers. Samsung has added its Audio Lab Pattern Control Technology for more precise sound direction, along with AI Dynamic Bass Control to manage low frequencies without noticeable distortion. Connectivity includes both HDMI and optical input.

The more compact Music Studio 5 uses a 2.0-channel configuration with a woofer, two tweeters and a waveguide. It also includes AI Dynamic Bass Control, while wired connectivity is provided through an optical input.

The speakers support Dolby Audio, Dolby Digital Plus and Eclipsa Audio, as well as Samsung features including Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Auto Volume, SpaceFit Sound Pro, Voice Enhance Mode, Spotify Tap and Wireless Dolby Atmos.

Through SmartThings, users can control playback, combine multiple speakers and adjust settings from one app. Samsung’s Q-Symphony can link up to five compatible Samsung audio devices with a television.

Design, pricing and availability

The speaker bodies were designed by French designer Erwan Bouroullec. Samsung is positioning the products as interior objects as well as audio hardware—an approach aimed at premium buyers who care about how a device looks in a room alongside its ports and specifications.

Pricing in India is:

  • Music Studio 5: from 27,900 rupees, or 24,900 rupees promotional pricing
  • Music Studio 7: 39,990 rupees

Both models are already available in India. Samsung will face competition from Sonos, Bose and JBL, while also competing with its own soundbars and televisions, which are already integrated into the company’s connected home audio ecosystem.
