Samsung shows Galaxy Z Fold8's My FanCam in action
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold8 can track a selected person in wide video and automatically create a share-ready 9:16 clip.

Samsung’s My FanCam feature can turn a wide football recording into a finished clip centered on a selected player, without manual editing. The tool is part of Galaxy AI on the foldable Galaxy Z Fold8, introduced by Samsung on July 23, 2026.
The feature was demonstrated by well-known leaker Ice Universe. After recording a football match, he selected one player in the Gallery app. The phone then automatically created a separate video with that person kept at the center of the frame.
My FanCam uses AI to analyze previously recorded widescreen footage. It tracks the selected subject, shifts the crop to follow them, and produces ready-to-share clips, including vertical 9:16 videos designed for social platforms.

Samsung says the feature is intended for more than sports. It can also help isolate a particular person in footage from concerts, family celebrations, and other events where the subject may be part of a much larger frame.
The Galaxy Z Fold8's large inner display also provides space to edit these clips directly on the smartphone.
