OnePlus has added a surprisingly useful trick to the OnePlus 15: the flagship can now send files directly to iPhone, iPad, and Mac through Quick Share, with no quality loss and no cloud detour. The feature started rolling out on 9 June, and it turns a longtime Android-to-Apple headache into a mostly boring tap-and-send routine – which is exactly how it should have worked ages ago.
You do not need a firmware update, but you do need to update the Quick Share app from Google Play. On the OnePlus side, enabling visibility ”For everyone” is enough; on Apple devices, AirDrop must be set to ”For everyone for 10 minutes” before the devices will see each other.

The new setup uses AirDrop compatibility, so the transfer is direct rather than routed through a server in the middle. That matters because it avoids compression, preserves quality, and removes the usual friction of sending a photo or video from one ecosystem to the other. For anyone who has ever emailed themselves a file just to get it onto an iPhone, this is a nice little defeat for inconvenience.

OnePlus joins a growing Android club
OnePlus is not first here, just the latest to join the club. Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 10, Samsung Galaxy S24, S25 and S26, Oppo Find X8 and X9, Vivo X300 Ultra, Honor Magic V6, and Xiaomi 17T Pro already got the same sort of cross-platform file sharing. The pattern is hard to miss: Android brands are slowly making Apple’s wall a bit more like a fence.
The OnePlus 15 runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 and uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Older OnePlus phones, including the OnePlus 13, have not received the feature yet, so this is still a flagship-only perk for now. The obvious question is whether OnePlus will extend it further, because once people get used to painless sharing, they tend to notice when the cheaper phone in the drawer is left out.
