Nimble has launched a 10,000mAh power bank with a gimmick that is actually useful: it splits into two separate 5,000mAh chargers. The Sharepower Portable Charger is aimed at people who travel with a friend, juggle multiple gadgets, or just want one battery pack that can act like two when needed.

The modular design gives it an edge over the usual slab of cells and ports. In combined mode, the two halves deliver up to 35W total output and can charge up to three devices at once; separated, each side can push up to 20W. In a market packed with lookalike accessories, that kind of flexibility is the sort of feature that can actually justify the shelf space.

How the Sharepower splits and charges

The two sections connect with strong magnets and pogo pins, so snapping them apart is the whole point rather than a repair headache waiting to happen. One half includes a built-in braided USB-C cable, an extra USB-C port, and four LED status lights. The other half adds a USB-C port, a foldable USB-C connector that plugs directly into a phone, and a digital percentage display.

  • Combined mode: 10,000mAh and up to 35W total output
  • Split mode: two independent 5,000mAh chargers
  • Per half: up to 20W output
  • Charging setup: up to three devices at once when assembled

Price, colors and availability

The Sharepower is on sale now on Nimble’s website for $79.95. Buyers can choose classic White, or two limited-edition finishes, Liquid Crystal Blue and Liquid Crystal Pink, both with a ripple texture that looks a little more polished than the average black brick.

Nimble says it is the world’s first truly sharable battery, which is a bold line but not a crazy one. Battery makers have spent years adding more ports and faster charging; this design goes a step further by making the whole pack physically adaptable. Expect it to show up at other retailers soon, where it will face the more awkward question: clever idea, yes, but can it outdo cheaper dual-port rivals?
