Ugreen has launched the PB541 in China, a 10,000 mAh power bank that undercuts plenty of better-known rivals on price while still promising 45W output, a built-in USB-C cable, and Bluetooth app control. The catch is that you’ll need to buy it on JD.com for 199 yuan, or about $29, and the company is clearly aiming this one at buyers who want fast charging without carrying a brick.

The hardware is more practical than flashy. Ugreen says the PB541 uses two 5,000 mAh ATL lithium-ion cells wired in series, for a total capacity of 39.1Wh, and it can charge up to three devices at once. That puts it in the same crowded class as recent compact power banks from Anker and Xiaomi, except Ugreen has chosen to lean harder on the integrated cable-and-strap trick rather than chasing a sleeker all-metal look.

Ports, charging speeds and battery details

  • 2 USB-C ports plus 1 USB-A port
  • Built-in USB-C cable with up to 45W output
  • USB-C input power up to 36W for recharging the power bank itself
  • USB-A output up to 22.5W
  • Supports PD, PPS, QC, AFC, and FCP fast-charging protocols

That spec sheet is solid for the money, though not exactly unique. A 45W ceiling is enough for many phones, tablets, and lightweight laptops, but not the sort of wattage that will impress anyone shopping for a premium notebook backup. The interesting bit is the app support: Bluetooth pairing through Ugreen Smart Life lets the PB541 surface charge status, temperature, remaining time, and output power on its color display, which is more information than many low-cost rivals bother to expose.

PB541 design compared with PB610

Ugreen says the PB541 is a thinner redesign of the PB610, with a different screen layout and a PC plus ABS plastic shell. The dimensions are 111 × 71 × 17.8 mm, and it weighs 226.4 g, which keeps it firmly in pocketable territory even if it won’t disappear into a jeans coin pocket. Ugreen also claims up to 800 charge cycles, a useful number if the battery is meant to live in a backpack rather than in a drawer.

The real question is whether the PB541’s mix of price, built-in cable, and Bluetooth extras is enough to stand out in a category where everyone claims ”fast” and ”compact.” At 199 yuan, Ugreen has made the math look easy. The harder part is convincing buyers that this is the one they should carry every day instead of the next near-identical slab with a logo on the front.
