Russian cosplayer Kristina Fink, known as Kalinka Fox, has unveiled a stunning new take on Aela the Huntress from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Aela is a fierce Nord werewolf and one of the five core members of the Companions guild in Skyrim’s world. She trains the player in archery, offers marriage, and stands out for her fierce loyalty and distinctive armor.
Who is Aela the Huntress in Skyrim?
Aela descends from a long line of female Companions, tracing back to the legendary Black Arrow Harrow. Raised in the wilds with her father before joining the guild, she shares a deep belief that lycanthropy isn’t a curse but a gift. Together with fellow werewolf Skjor, she transforms new members into werewolves by sharing her blood.
Aela and Skjor were among the few in the Companions who embraced their wolf side fully, hunting together as werewolves in the plains around Whiterun. Their close partnership sparked rumors of romance, rumors Aela always denied. Despite that, her grief over Skjor’s death was the deepest among the guild.
After finishing the Companions’ questline, Aela stands alone by refusing to be cured of her lycanthropy, making her the last living werewolf in the guild while others take the cure. The character is voiced by Claudia Christian, famous for playing Susan Ivanova in the sci-fi series Babylon 5.
