JoyToy has opened preorders for two new Warhammer 40,000 Death Guard figures: the Scribe and the Spoil Biologist. Both figures are priced at $74.80, and both are scheduled to ship in July 2026.

The figures continue JoyToy’s steady push into licensed Warhammer 40,000 collectibles, a segment that has become increasingly crowded as premium toy makers lean on established fandoms instead of inventing new universes from scratch. That strategy is boring on paper, but commercially sensible: recognizable armor, grim lore, and shelf-friendly scale do a lot of the marketing for free.

Scribe figure details

The Scribe stands 12.3 cm tall and measures 7.3 cm wide. Its accessory set is absurd in exactly the way Warhammer fans expect: a nurgling with scrolls, an abacus, human bone used as a pen, a board with attached paper, a gun, a base, interchangeable hands, and armor with a huge vox receiver.

Spoil Biologist figure details

The Spoil Biologist is just slightly taller at 12.4 cm and 7.7 cm wide. JoyToy is packing it with interchangeable hands, a plague dagger, a base, and a vial filled with various epidemic substances – a reminder that this line is aimed at collectors who want tiny horror props, not cuddly desk ornaments.

For JoyToy, the appeal is obvious: licensed figures in a known scale are easier to sell than one-off curios, and Warhammer remains one of the few fandoms where grotesque miniatures can still feel premium rather than niche-for-niche’s-sake. The July release window also suggests the company is keeping momentum rolling rather than letting these preorders sit too long and lose steam.

The real question is whether the Death Guard pipeline keeps expanding or if JoyToy pauses here after testing demand. If these two move well, expect more corrupted armor, more servants of Nurgle, and probably more opportunities for collectors to pay handsomely for things that look like they crawled out of a swamp and into a display case.
