Jmgo has launched the N3 Ultimate, a premium 4K projector aimed at high-end home theaters, now available worldwide. It features a unique integrated optical system combining lens shift, optical zoom, and an AI-controlled gimbal to deliver up to 5800 ISO lumens brightness and flexible placement without sacrificing image quality.
At the core of the N3 Ultimate is a ”3-in-1” optical module that merges vertical and horizontal lens shift with an AI-driven gimbal mechanism. The lens can shift vertically by ±130% and horizontally by ±53%, while the optical zoom adjusts between 0.88:1 and 1.7:1. The built-in gimbal rotates the projector 360 degrees horizontally and up to 150 degrees vertically, enabling unconventional projection angles without manual repositioning or image degradation.
Unlike conventional projectors that rely on digital keystone corrections-which often reduce sharpness and brightness-Jmgo emphasizes optical image optimization. This hardware-based correction keeps images crisp and bright even when projecting from skewed angles.

The projector also includes AI Spatial Image Memory, which stores multiple projection profiles for different surfaces like walls or ceilings. Users can switch between profiles instantly without recalibrating the image position, brightness, or associated app settings.
Image quality hinges on a triple-laser light source with native 4K resolution. It covers an impressive 110% of the BT.2020 color gamut and delivers color accuracy with a Delta E of around 0.7. Contrast reaches 20,000:1, and both Dolby Vision and HDR10 formats are supported. Audio is handled by Dolby Audio and DTS:X technologies for immersive sound.
The N3 Ultimate targets gamers too, offering variable refresh rate (VRR) support, frame rates up to 240 Hz, and low-latency modes. It’s powered by the MT9679 chipset, ensuring smooth gameplay and fluid playback of fast-paced video content.
Additional smart features include automatic image alignment to screens, autofocus, obstacle avoidance, wall color adaptation, and eye protection-all driven by real-time AI processing. The projector runs on a Google-based OS, equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage.
The Jmgo N3 Ultimate is priced at €2999.
Jmgo’s optical gimbal and AI-driven lens shift set it apart from mainstream 4K projectors from brands like Sony and Epson, which typically rely heavily on digital keystone correction and fixed mounting options. By prioritizing optical adjustments, the N3 Ultimate appeals to users seeking versatile, high-brightness setups in unconventional spaces.
As projectors push deeper into smart home ecosystems and gaming-friendly features, the N3 Ultimate highlights a trend toward combining hardware innovations with AI to enhance both installation flexibility and image fidelity. It remains to be seen how this optical gimbal concept influences future projector designs and whether its premium price attracts a broad enough audience amid increasing competition from laser TVs and mini-LED displays.
