Evolute has postponed the start of serial production for its i-Sky electric crossover to fall 2026. The company had previously targeted August. It also says a hybrid version of the model is planned by the end of the year.

The company says production plans will depend on demand and that the plant could operate in several shifts. Both the electric car and future hybrid are expected to be built using a full-cycle process, including body welding and painting.

Evolute i-Sky production plans

Under the latest schedule, the i-Sky will enter production at the Motorinvest facility in the fall. This is the project’s second delay: at Innoprom 2026, the company had cited August and promised to begin Russian-market sales before the end of summer.

Delays are common for new vehicle programs in Russia, where launch timing can depend on production lines, component deliveries and certification. Electric vehicles also bring additional requirements involving batteries, electronics and safety systems. The fall target appears intended to avoid a rushed launch rather than simply adjust a date on paper.

The hybrid i-Sky is expected by the end of 2026, assuming the schedule does not change again. The move would give Evolute a model for buyers interested in electrification while also addressing markets where charging infrastructure is developing unevenly.

Evolute i-Sky specifications

The i-Sky is a front-wheel-drive crossover positioned close to the midsize class. Its published specifications include:

  • Length: 4,685 mm
  • Width: 1,900 mm
  • Height: 1,613 mm
  • Wheelbase: 2,775 mm
  • Electric motor output: 218 hp
  • Battery: 62 kWh
  • Range: up to 424 km
  • 0–100 km/h: about 8 seconds

Those figures place the i-Sky in a segment where buyers will judge more than stated range. Pricing, launch timing and the availability of service will also shape its prospects as competition in Russia’s electric-vehicle market intensifies. If the schedule holds, Evolute will have a production electric crossover and a hybrid variant ready by year-end.
