Asus packs 11 ports into an 81-gram dock

Asus' 81-gram Adol HC112 dock offers 11 ports, triple-monitor support, up to 8K output and 100W laptop charging.

Asus has introduced the Adol HC112, a compact docking station that combines 11 ports in an aluminum-alloy enclosure measuring 116 × 48 × 15 mm. It weighs just 81 grams.

The dock supports data transfers of up to 10 Gbps and can drive up to three external monitors on compatible devices. Its display outputs include:

  • DisplayPort 1.4: up to 8K at 30Hz
  • HDMI: up to 4K at 120Hz
  • Full HD: up to 240Hz for gaming monitors

Ports, charging and compatibility

For peripherals, the Adol HC112 offers three USB-A 3.2 ports and one USB-C 3.2 port, all supporting transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps. It also includes gigabit Ethernet, SD and microSD card readers that can operate simultaneously, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

A separate USB-C port with Power Delivery 3.0 provides up to 100W of pass-through charging for a laptop while all of the dock’s interfaces remain in use. The Adol HC112 supports plug-and-play operation without driver installation and is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iPadOS when connected through a full-featured USB-C port.

The dock costs 329 yuan in China, or about $46. Its launch price is 299 yuan, approximately $42.
