Apple services hit by second outage in a week
Apple’s App Store, iTunes Store, and subscription purchases are disrupted for some users, while developer commerce systems undergo emergency maintenance.

Apple is dealing with another broad service outage, the company’s second in a week. The disruption affects some customers trying to buy apps or subscriptions, as well as developers using App Store commerce and in-app purchase systems.
Apple services affected
Apple’s System Status page lists these services under a partial outage:
- App Store: Some users may be unable to make purchases in the iTunes Store, Mac App Store, and App Store.
- AppleCare on Device: All users are affected, and AppleCare purchases are temporarily unavailable.
- iTunes Store: Some users may be unable to complete purchases.
- Mac App Store: Some users may be unable to complete purchases.
- Subscription Purchase: Some users are experiencing intermittent issues.
The user-facing issues began at 7:40 p.m. ET and were still ongoing when 9to5Mac reported them. Apple has not provided an estimated resolution time for these outages.

App Store developer systems under maintenance
Apple’s Developer System Status page lists two ongoing issues, both beginning at 7:20 p.m. ET. They affect the App Store – Advanced Commerce API and App Store – In-App Purchases.
Apple says it is carrying out emergency maintenance to improve system performance and estimates that the work will take two hours. The company has not said whether the developer-side maintenance is directly responsible for the customer-facing purchase problems.
9to5Mac said it would update its report as more information becomes available.
